Mz Aretta!

I have been meaning to tell you that you looked so beautiful on Sunday!

The last time I saw you, you had braids and such a young spirit about you. You have truly matured into a gorgeous young woman. I know you'll be extremely successful. I am very proud of you and I'm glad we've had a chance to become friends.

And more importantly,
I hope you smell wonderfully delicious from using the treats from your graduation present! Heheheh!

Much Love!

How 'Bout Some Cake!

Hahahahahah!

Happy Birthday Friar!

Baby Steps

Ok, here is my new thing. I have overcome the whole meatless living thing. However, that was replaced with frnch fries and chile rellanos. I read that if you make small changes every two weeks or so that the changes have a greater chance of sticking. So I am adding no fried foods to my list of don'ts. That will still leave cheese though. Giggle, giggle, tee hee...... And I think I am going to completely cut out sugar sodas and only leave diet sodas for carbonation emergencies. I have pretty much been liberated from soda but I want it to stay the same or get better.

I have a GREAT veggie cookbook for you "Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone". By far one of the best cookbooks that I have ever read. Even if I didn't have an interest in being a vegetarian the food sounds so good. The recipes are easy and the ingredients are easy to find.

I think that when my kitchen is done i am going to make recipes from this cookbook for my family and I don't think they will miss the meat that much. It will be hard at first because they are all eating drive through while the kitchen is out. But, oh well.

How 'bout the similac diet?

Hahahah! You know I had to throw my baby in there some where! That makes 3 posts in a row! I should be good til next week!

I just read your past posts...

My bad again...

Ok...I've only lost about 5 pounds all together, but I feel off the diet. I need to get back on because my skin isn't haven't it! After eating really well and drinking lots of water, for some dumb reason I decided to have ribs and coke Friday night. Of course I broke out! Dam Dam dam Gina!

Let's get it together...not just for our weight, but more just for our health in general. You know women out live men, so we need to be alive and healthy in our old ages...if ya get my drift!

Love you both! And see you next Sunday!!!!

Good Website....

My bad on my terrible efforts to blog more...but look what I found.

I AM GRUMPY!!!

Well, I lost the two pounds that I gained back. That was after a PMS episode of fries and a chocolate shake. But I think that I need to get it together a little better. Yes, I have stuck to a vegetarian diet. With very little problem. Mainly because I can eat fries and chocolate shakes. But I must do better. It defeats the purpose of cutting out meat. So I think that I am going to try running. Yes, I will need the most amazing bra ever created by man or beast. I will continue to go to yoga. (But not on Mondays because the instructor is too chatty and a show off. By the end of the class I just sat on my mat with a "You've got to be kidding me!" look on my face. As she was standing on her hands with her legs in the air in front of her.)

While in line at Jamba Juice, I have noticed a book called "Chi Running" and it is supposed to teach you how to run properly so it isn't painful and you don't get injured. (I think that pain aspect will directly relate to what I am able to find in the way of an "over the shoulder BOULDER holder".) Anyhow, there is a website, www.chirunning.com and on the website there is a grocery list. Seems healthful and has information about fruits and vegetables that have the highest amount of pesticides. (http://www.chirunning.com/shop/pages.php?pageid=24&id=302)

So I am planning on cutting back on junk food and fried foods. Which brings me back to why I am grumpy. My house is covered in debris from the demolition of my kitchen. So I can't really cook. And I have PMS. I think that I planned this out really well. And for some reason there is a lot going on with work. And just the sound of my childrens voices makes me highly upset. Especially when coupled with the mess that they make all over my already debris filled house. That the dumb dog and cat walk through and drag the dust all over. And the cat drags it to his favorits spot behind the couch that he likes to pee. I need to go to sleep. And when I wake up I want it fixed. GOOD NIGHT!

Where is the Love?

Where are the post from three women that were so dedicated to living a healthier lifestyle? What happen to the support of talking about daily struggles and tips on food? Well if you have decided that doing this won't work for you anymore...at least post on the modifications to your diet and an update on how you feel vs. your weight loss.

Good Morting...

So i would like to make a few confessions. I have eaten, two servings of Meat sauce lasagna, a grande Carmel frappachino, and chicken fajitas. (wow it sounds so bad when you actually write it down.)Now, Although I am back on track, I have begun to include limited dairy. BUT> I noticed that I feel bloated almost all the time. I feel like, sort of heavy. I don't like it. But before, I craved dairy, BUT felt lighter and just better in general not eating it; plus drinking soy milk. I guess my main point is that since cheating, I notice a difference in my mood, energy level, and face. (I AM BREAKING OUT) So i think it's time to go hard core for 16 more days. GRADUATION PEOPLE>ugh. So keep steady and strong my SISTAH'S so we glow with health, beauty and slenderness on the loverly May 20th 2007!

For the love of......

Fried Chicken. This morning (after a trip to Jamba Juice) I came home feeling good. Thinking that this whole vegetarian thing was ok. I found a way to make it work. It doesn't even require a lot of thought anymore (mainly because I am ok with dairy; vegan would be too much I think). AND THEN, as I pass the counter to open a sliding glass door I notice a magazine from yesterday's newspaper sitting all by itself on the counter. And on the cover, a picture of fried chicken.

I think to myself, "Hmm, fried chicken. I used to love fried chicken but I am a vegetarian. Boca chicken patties are yummy and close enough. And I AM A VEGETARIAN. I can feel my clean veggie blood pumping so smoothly through my veins. And I love it." (All while I sip on the rest of my delicious Matcha Green Tea Mist with a protein boost.)

So I open the sliding glass door. Fresh air. Birds chirping. My roses looking really lovely. I am at one with the natural world. After all, I am a vegetarian. (Granted only for the last month. But that is a small detail.) Wonderful. I have my comfy workout clothes on because I am going to yoga in a little while. Like Ghandi. I love all living creatures. (Except that stupid cat who lives to shed his fur all over the house.) I breath in through my nose and out through my mouth. Lovely day. I am in God's grace.

Then, I pass the counter again. I reach for the magazine with what seemed, at first, to be very average looking fried chicken on the cover. I think I should throw it away. After all. I am a vegetarian. (And if I were to ever make fried chicken again I already have a kick butt recipe that involves buttermilk and lemon; and that is all I am saying.) Then, upon closer inspection, this wasn't ordinary fried chicken. This was "Dixie" fried chicken. This was "Scott Peacock's Famous Fried Chicken".

WHAT FAMOUS FRIED CHICKEN?! (but wait, I say in a small voice, "Aren't I a........vegetarian?") I love fried chicken. I love Popeye's Fried Chicken. (Spicy with honey to dip it in, please.) I love, love, love Roscoe's Fried Chicken. (No waffle please. It will only fill space in my stomach that could have been filled with delicious fried chicken.)

But alas, I am a vegetarian. Is this the devil's temptation? This must be a supernaturally sourced. The devil wants me to die from heart disease when I am 35. He is playing dirty with the "Famous Fried Chicken". I am sure that is it. So I am going to read the article. (Even though I am sure that my recipe is far superior to Scott Peacock's recipe.) Maybe I can take a short power nap and dream about fried chicken. Then I will go to yoga. Yes, that is the answer. After all, I am a vegetarian.

well, well, well

Ok, so i haven't posted in......sometime. Everything is going ok. Especially since I decided this was how I NEEDED to live my life. So, if I have macaroni and cheese or shrimp wontons it isn't the biggest deal. I know that this will slow down how quickly I lose weight but I think that I will be able to stick with it by not being so restrictive.

This weekend I went to a block party, and didn't have a hamburger or hot dog. (They looked good, but I didn't even feel tempted.) Last week was ok. I think this week I will work on not having any fried food. (Work on. But the shrimp might call my name at the Season Thai.) But after a month (right?) of eating better, taking my vitamins, cutting back on soda and caffein, etc. I am not as sleepy (usually I am sleepy all the time; I am also trying to get to bed by 10:30 or 11), my skin looks lots better (I was told I looked college age or 24 at the oldest this weekend. I know I told you both already. But it is part of my point. Even if the people may have been far sighted.) AND AS OF TODAY I LOST 5 LBS. (only 95 more to go)

another website

Good News!! I think that a big reason that I have been able to stay on the vegetarian track is because of Amy's frozen dinners. Anyhow, I wanted to see all that she offered so I googled her. AND I found an online e-tailer that ships her frozen foods (and keeps them frozen) AND the whole site is dedicated to healthy foods. Genius!

T-Bird- maybe a good idea for office food? By the way, the thai website is really good. Their pad thai recipe looks like the one that your mom makes. (However, there is not any mention of me on the kitchen floor with a mortar and pestle. That would be the one key difference.)

OH YEAH. The website name is www.wellnessgrocer.com. (They also sell organic baby food.)

two weeks and counting

Well, today makes two weeks on.......our new healthy eating plan? God Diet? Anyhow, I lost 1 (one, uno, ein) more pound. But I am not as sleepy as I usually am. I feel much lighter; even though I have only lost 3 pounds total. (At this rate I will be done in the next 3 to 5 years.) But, this is with "cheating". I had had dairy and sugar. But in limited amounts. Overall, I am eating more in line with how I know I should. So, I am thinking that I can stick with it. Meat has been smelling really gross to me. That has really been most helpful. Yesterday, I drove through Mc Donald's and did NOT get a mushroom swiss burger. It kind of grossed me out when I saw the picture. (That was creepy.)

Additionaly, I think that my skin looks better. I haven't had as many break outs. Not even after getting waxed. And my skin tone is better too. As proof, yesterday, a man that wasn't that much older than me called me "young lady". AND, there is more. The lady at the Clinique counter (today) said that I didn't need to use the moisturizer that I have been using. Since I don't have any wrinkles or signs of age. (I am sure that she was exaggerating. A very little bit.)

All in all, I think we are all doing good. So keep on truckin'.

Hello People! Where are you?

Now you know its just unnatural for me to have 3 blogs in a row without my fellow Bloggy McBloggersons!

Yesterday I had:
Kashi Cereal (Dry) Yummy McYummerson!
1 cup of coffee with soy
2 sliced avocado rolls
Apple juice
Granola bar
1 bag of 100-calorie cheetoes (I know this is a cheat in some way)
Water, water, water
1 Amy’s organic quesadilla
A mix of garbanzo beans with tuna and Italian dressing (this was just ok)

All and all, the day could have been better. Thank God for a new day!

But the dam shame is...I'm already hungry! Discipline T-Bird! Discipline!

I need reinforcements!
Here's a website for thai recipes. You can always substitute tofu for meat...

Migraine Monday

Well today I did really good. I had a original size matcha green tea mist, mediterranean salad for lunch (it had a little feta) w/ tomatoes, kalmata olives, red onions and a vinagrette. (I think that I can re-create it at home.) And for dinner an Amy's mexican casserole (I am addicted.), watermelon and spaghetti squash. (I made chicken and was planning on having some, it was baked, but it smelled wierd to me. Not like it was going bad. But it didn't smell yummy.)

I did have a migraine in the afternoon. So I slept instead of ate my way through the time before dinner. That helped.

With that said Andre just made a run to foster's freeze. I wll let you know how that turns out.

Monday Blues

So for Sunday, I had wheat o's and soy milk. Then I went to a Dodgers game and THAT did it people. I had the famous Dodger DOG. Yum. Yum . and Yum. So good. I had a couple sips of coke. NOT MY OWN DRINK. Then for dinner, more wheat o's and soy milk. Today I ran out of time for breakfast. So I am looking forward to a salad for lunch. Any ideas on how to make it interesting?

Vitamin Tip

Well here are the vitamins that I take and I really like:

multi-vitamin
iron supplement (because i am anemic)
calcium w/magnesium & zinc
biotin (good for hair, skin & nails)
B-complex
salmon oil (for essential fatty acids)
anti-oxidant (Vitamin A,C & E)

Another tip: Nature's Made is supposed to be the best as far as dosage accuracy.

I'm Bring'in SEXY back...

WEll, I've been gone for a week. Sorry my SISTAH''s. But hey, it's the final four weeks of the school my senior year. Needless to say that the pressure is on. Well as you may already know. I also had a break down in the diet. Bites of a turkey sandwich, sips of a sprite, and chucks of a yummy double fudge Sarah Lee Brownie. UGH. I know right. My roommate is having a few issues and has placed a TON of junk food in this house. So the keebler elf cookies were callin my NAME. 3 of them to be exact. But that is all. And on a high note I have lost 3 pounds. :) So I do want to stick with it.

I think the link between the break down is that I wasn't posting on the blog. Being accountable for what I eat at the end of the day must really work. SO I am back on board. Please don't be mad the I got to eat the treats. It isn't worth the guilt. Trust Me. Sigh.....

hmmmmm

Well, I think T might be right. Perhaps it would be better to start off strong and modify later on. Well, yesterday was pretty good. I just had Jamba Juice, thai food, juice and sushi. I have to say there are alot of all juice carbonated options to drink instead of soda. So far today I have had a protein drink (no sugar or dairy), a quinoa cake and a pluot. I am off to get some more vitamins.

Remember to take your vitamins...

Remember to take your vitamins. I stopped taking my prenatal vitamins since my supply dried up and I am no longer breast feeding...I've definitely noticed a difference. Those vitamins were the bomb, so I'll need to get a replacement ASAP.

Yesterday I had:

1 cup of coffee w/ soymilk and splenda
1 orange juice carrot juice blend
Snow peas carrots and steamed tofu w/ brown rice
Plain ice tea
Water, water, water
Dried lychee fruit
Mangos
Strawberries
Water, water, water

I think if we try to stick to this diet just to loose the initial weight we want to get rid of and then modify the diet later once we reach our goal, it will work out they way we want it to. That way we can all be look'n cute at Arretta's graduation dinner...yes the dinner we will be get'n our grub on at WITH NO LIMITATIONS!!!

What's on the menu anyway? I want to know what I have to look forward to.

Look how fat my face is these days, but its all worth it cuz my baby is too cute! Hahahaha! Ok, I'll stop finding ways to post pictures of my gorgeous baby! Heheheheh!

More information

Well, I was reading a magazine today and it had some information that you might find helpful. Firstly, vegetarians (it didn't say vegans) loose around one pound per week without making any changes other than changes from a "normal" diet to a vegetarian diet. Also, vegetarians on average weigh less, have a lower instance of heart disease, diabetes & high blood pressure. Also, after eating a vegan meal your body tends to burn more energy; meaning that our bodies are able to process vegetables and fruits more easily and effeciently than fattier foods. Interesting.....yes?

You may want to slap me!!!

Exercise!

I know this is suppose to be just a diet...NO SUGAR, NO MEAT, NO DAIRY...BUT on Monday night I did a mini-workout, just 10-15 minutes. I woke up the next morning feeling better than I have in a while. SO I decided to try this mini workout idea again last night and EUREKA, I woke up feeling even better today. I'm sure the diet helps.... I’ve lost 2 pounds btw.

Yesterday I had:
1 cup of coffee with vanilla soymilk
Sautéed Asparagus & Carrots with steamed tofu and brown rice
Water, water, water
Dried lychee fruit
Dried apples
2 Amy's Organic Veggie Texas Burger (Yummy)
Vegetable soup
1 Peach
Water, water, water

So far so good.

I must lose this weight so I can fit into my "before the pregnancy jeans". I have about 30 pair so I would hate for them to go to waste.

Like I said before, "We shall lose this weight togetha, MY SISTAHS!!!"

Oh and I just uploaded Michael's picture so you could see how cute my baby is!!!! Hahahaha! I love you both!

Good News!!

I use the term good losely. After days of moderate suffering, a few foul ups and misteps I have lost a glorious two pounds. Overall, I think that it is pretty good. I don't feel like I have been suffering. This is how i should be eating anyway, right? I feel better overall. So at this rate it will take me a year to lose all the weight that i need to use. (That is right 104 lbs. that will take me right around where I should be bmi wise.) But maybe this will stick and I will be better for it. Eating to live. Not living to eat. On that note. I leave you now to dream of fried chicken and yummy desserts. (Please note that I said "desserts"; because I am unable to limit myself to one favorite dessert.) And yes I will be dipping my spicy Popeye's fried chicken in honey too. With a biscuit and a large coke. (BTW- I had the boca burger chicken patty tonight for dinner. Really good. )

Horrible Blogger!

I'm obviously a horrible blogger since I just saw that you two have been blogging your butts off since last Friday. I need to get better at this.

Anyway....NO SUGAR, NO DAIRY, NO MEAT! And we will lose this weight togetha my sistahs!!!!

That's all I have to say.

I love you both!

Shoot me. SHOOT ME!!!!!!!!

i want sugggaaarrrrrrrrrrrrr (voice falling down a well)

SUGAR!!!!!

This is CRAZY. UGH. I am almost positive, that my sugar-hungry blood will take over the power of my hands and force sugar into my MOUTH> HELP ME JESUS (old...old...man voice.)

Sigh...

I WANT MEAT!!

ok. while i do feel better....i want meat. a hamburger to be specific. a mc donald's mushroom swiss angus burger to be really specific. i do feel better eating healthier. i think that i am slightly smaller now. but i don't feel full..... ever. i know i shouldn't ever eat to feel full. satisfaction should be the goal. whatever. i had a dream last night that i woke up and had a handful of candy. then i felt bad about it and was all worked up about having to "report" it. IN A DREAM! ah well. i am better now. it is a good thing that mc donald's doesn't serve burgers until later. and this too shall pass.

The Sunday Battle ...

for breakfast I had a bowl of whole wheat cheerios from Trader Joe's. I used soy milk, added chopped bananas and some dried cranberries and nuts. I put a little honey on top. SOOOOOOO good. I took dried banana chips to work. OMG, I had to work right next to a pastry case full of yummy treats. Not to mention all the delish drinks callin' my name. UGH. But I made it. And when the torture was, I was really proud of myself. For a snack I had more dried banana chips. For dinner, I had miso soup, yummy from t.j.'s., and some flack seed chips. I still want a little something. But it's after 7:30. So maybe just water or a cup of tea.

Quin-who? Quinoa

Yesterday, started out beautifully. It did spiral out of control around 3:30 p.m. Not totally horrible. I did use some self control. So anyhow. I have another tip. There are easy (healthy) recipes at the Whole Foods Market website. (www.wholefoods.com) So anyway, today:

2/3 cantelope
1/2 plumelo
1 quinoa cake
1/8 C dried dates
1 banana
16oz Matcha Green Tea Mist
3 pieces of Valley Veggie Pizza
2 whole dates
1 Amy's Mexican Casserole

Maybe I will have another piece of fruit later on; but before 7:30. That is all for today. Over and Out.

I'm Thirsty ...

Can I get some Juice/Tea suggestions besides Crystal Light?

Friday, April 13, 2007

Great SCOTT!! I've Got IT!

Man O Man. Are you trying yo kill me! First I would like to address the change of diet plan with out a vote! What is this? PELICAN BAY! (fist in the air). Ok . So, the intake for yesterday.
When I got gas around 6:30 am, I bought a large bag of trail mix. I snacked on while at work. After my hair appointment, I came home and had a half turkey sandwich...I put it in the oven to add some kind of interest. Next up class at 7pm. I actually bought an apple. It was ok. But when I got home, I was shocked, to say the least about the change in plans. So I had a giant goodbye cup of milk and peanutbutter/jelly sandwich.

I was cranky today. I ate a granola bar with almonds/sunflowers/dried cranberries for breakfast. But, I think it had sugar. Opps. then at work, my nerdy co-worker in IT put two easter bite size snickers on my desk and gave me that "its your lucky day" look. What was I to do? NOT eat them. So I ate one. soooooo gooood. UGH. For lunch I had a spinach, almonds, mushrooms and tomato salad WITH - ready- Orange marinade. SO GOOD. Almost as good as ranch.

Dinner time, which is now far past 7:30. But I just got home. cut me some slack. So at the store, I found an all organic, non-dairy, soy cheese and wheat pizza. (pictured above) with a side of green grapes. SO PERFECT ! I suggest you by this pizza.

But listen, I am really gonna need some suggestions cause this is hard. UGH.

Friday the 13th- duh duh da duh...........

Today, we went to Whole Foods and did a little shopping. I love Whole Foods but it can be expensive. Which is strange as they love to rant and rave about poverty prevention. I have to also say that I have never seen an employee that doesn't have rosey cheeks. I am assuming that this is from all the wonderful goodness that they eat (no doubt purchased from Whole Foods).

So today I ate......
falafel w/ hummus (Normally yummy, but the Whole Foods deli falafel was GROSS! You can get cheap mix from the jewish section of the grocery and all you have to do is mix it water. That is really good. The best hummus is made by Sabra. Even Andre and the kids likes it.)
a potato/zuchinni latke (good)
2 pluots (a cross breed of plums and apricots- really good)
2 bananas
a quinoa cake (from WF- CRAZY AWESOME! I think that I am going to get some more tomorrow.)
a veggie pita, btw I made this myself and it was really good (ww pita, bean sprouts, fresh spinach, carrot shreds, hummus, spicy mustard, pretend bacon bits and sliced tomatoes)
a few salt and vinegar potatoe chips (maybe 5?)

I also attempted to eat some of the Whole Foods fresh miso soup. NASTY! The little packets of dehydrated miso soup are better by far. (Trader Joe's has a really good miso soup mix.)

That is it. I am kind of hungry now. I will try to survive off of water for the rest of the night. I am still going to try not to eat after 7:30. I think that will make a difference for me. Anyhow, that is it for today.

On a side note; I am watching the Food Network right now. Not helpful at all. But has anybody else noticed that Rachel Ray seems to be really short but her pants are always flooding? Why? I feel bad talking about her. She seems really nice. But she is too perky. It isn't natural. It makes me uncomfortable.

suggestions

Well, "T" you were right. RSA was very upset about the change to the God diet. So I agreed to post some suggestions for meals. I have also found a really good website that has menus, recipes of the week and all sorts of nutritional information. It is The World's Healthiest Foods website. (www.whfoods.org). Also, I am trying to review some of things that I eat in my daily post.

Firstly, what helps me is to have a variety of fruit to eat. I don't have to cook it like veggies and it will generally keep me from getting too hungry and desperate. It is also easy to transport. (Tip- I love kiwi fruit but hate the peeling. But if you cut it in half and scoop out the fruit, similar to a grapefruit, it is really neat and easy to eat.) Fruit is also good at any time of the day.

Breakfast-
oatmeal- you can add dried fruit, honey, sugar free maple syrup, nuts, soy milk, etc.
fruit
whole grain cereal w/ soy milk - like grape nuts, ww cheerios, etc.
soy protein drink
jamba juice ( I am sure t-bone is saying giant jamba super oj. Freshly squeezed orange juice does have more vitamins and fiber
than store bought oj.)
homemade fruit smoothie- frozen fruit is most helpful (you can get it pretty cheap if you buy the store brand. This weeks
episode of Work Out on Bravo has a good morning smoothie recipe.)

Lunch-
Salad- with a vinegarette dressing
veggie sandwich (Subway's veggie delight is really good. You don't miss the meat at all.)
Thai food
veggie pizza
Frozen meal (Amy's brand is good for vegetarian fare)
food that you would normally eat as a side to meat
miso soup
yam w/smart balance (micro for 4-5 minutes) (i like it with salt and pepper)

Dinner-
Boca Burger
Boca Brand Chicken Patty (t-bone highly recommends)
vegetarian lasagna (frozen food; take left overs for lunch)

The other thing I would say is to not get too caught up in what is breakfast food, lunch, etc. Just eat whatever; whenever you want. I hope that helps.

Day two

Well, from what I remember I did pretty well on Thursday. I had Thai vegetable tofu soup (the only vegetable soup worth eating) and eggplant and tofu w/brown rice for lunch. I have to say that good Thai food makes eating veggies much easier. But eating out all the time can get pricey. (It is a good thing that Tracy paid. Ha! Ha!)

For snack some cashews and a single serving bag of apple crisps from Costco (that at first taste like intensly flavored styrofoam but ended up being really good) I think that I will go and buy a vat of them. A little bottle of Martinelli's fruit cider, delicious. (All fruit. No added sugar. From Smart & Final. Also, purchase worthy.)

For dinner we went to Elephant Bar and I had a gardenburger on a whole wheat bun. (Yes, with fries. But only had a few and they are veggies after all. That was pretty muchit from what I can remember. (I have already confessed about the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf episode.) All in all a good day.

My overall goal is to find a way that I can eat healthfully for life and pass on good habits to Jordan and Reese. It has been most difficult to try to figure out what to eat and to acquire a taste for healthy food after not eating that way growing up. And I do feel much better when I eat healthy foods. But I love fries and burgers and nuggets and ice cream and fruit tarts and the list goes on and on. But if you were to ask me to list all the healthy foods that I like the list would be much shorter, take longer to compile and would lack the passion that I feel about junk food. Now, I am hungry. Ugh!

I'm Hungry!

I'm hungry...or more just want to have a snack just because...dam shame isn't it.

Once you get on a diet, then you start seeing and smelling all these crazy baked goods and sweets, knowing you can't have them. But you 'd be proud, I resisted....even after walking my nieces to the movie theatre and passing Coldstones and Ben & Jerry's. Lord, that took prayer, but I did it.

As far as no sugar, no dairy, no meat goes...
Today I had 2 power size orange juice carrot juice blends, avocado rolls, cashews, dried strawberries, bananas, and apples and 4 16 oz. bottles of water.

Now -- What's for dinner?

Thursday, April 12, 2007

Message from God

Well, after much discussion about the nutritional content in freshly squeezed orange juice, I am sorry to say T-Bird and I have made some changes. It seems that it will be easier to just do the God diet.

No dairy products or meat.

Honey and raw sugar are allowed. (limit amount, it is easy to get carried away)

The fruits and vegetables should be eaten in the most healthful way possible. (steamed, raw or sauteed).

Unlimited amounts of juices, coffee and tea. Water only is prefferrable.

Soy products are allowed as well.

Whole grains, including whole wheat bread products, cereals, brown rice, etc. are also acceptable.

It is really easy to know what is allowable. Also, we lost so much weight so quickly when we did it before that we thought we would try it again. (I lost 18 pounds in 2 weeks)

Sorry for the change. (Not really) But I need quick results if I have to limit what I am doing.

T-Beezy in the Heezy!

Well, now that I have realized that this blog is not some random solicitation blog for my well-earned dollars, I have joined! Yay!!!!

So far I have had a cup of coffee with 2% milk and splenda as well as freshly squeezed orange juice and carrot juice. So far so good, but it is only 12:32pm.

I would like to blame this extra weight on the baby, but seeing as I lost all my baby weight two weeks after delivering, that won't work. I honestly just got greedy and started grub'n. Dam shame that this weight is harder to lose than my baby weight..All good though.

We shall lose this weight together MY SISTAHS!

Too bad I can't just fart it out because I really have no problem there.

Well Then..

Today was not as bad as I thought it would be. But, i had no time to stop by the market, so it was a bit hard with nothing to eat in the house.

Of course when I got to work, someone put a GIANT bag of candy in the kitchen for all to have. Oy'VEY that was hard. Here is my intake for the day.
6:30 am Egg whites (Slap yo mama for flavor) and water
7:30 am - 11:30 5 glasses of water
1 pm half a turkey sandwich (mustard only w/ tomato on wheat bread) and a bowl of fruit.
2pm - 6pm More water
But no dinner and now I'm really hungry. I hope I can make time to put food from this list in my apartment. So I don't go A-wall and swing by del-taco...

I'm thinking about eating a can of tuna. Maybe a mental snack for later.

First Day....Failure????

Well, today started off well enough. After I dropped the kids off at school I went to the grocery. That trip went well, plenty of the prescribed foods. Then Andre said that he felt like crab (you don't have to ask me twice; it is seafood any way). So we went back. One pound of crab and all the makings of peanut sauce later we were on our way back home. (Peanuts are nuts too.) Anyway, I am sure that you want the low down by now. Here it is. (BTW- All in all it isn't as bad as it could have been. Progress is still progress. Tomorrow is a new day.)

Breakfast- WW pita (1/2), hummus, 4 slices of LEAN deli pork roast, bean sprouts, tomato- 6 oz pineapple/orange/banana juice
Snack- 4oz soy chai protein drink (no sugar added)
Lunch- 1/3-1/2 Cup of crab meat (horrible pre-frozen mush- not worth the guilt) w/ melted Smart Balance- spinach salad, shredded carrots & balsamic vinaigrette, tea
Snack- 7 wheat thins, 1/2 cantaloupe, 1/4C pecans, 1 can of Coke Zero
AND DINNER- iceberg lettuce, boiled chicken breast, peanut sauce
There's more- 3 bite size snickers

So not enough fruit and vegetables and NO WATER. BAD BAD BAD. But there is always tomorrow. I would like to think that I will get up and go walking in the morning. So tomorrow, water, water and more water. Perhaps an all fruit Jamba; the papaya all juice smoothie is really good. And I don't like tropical fruit. And Thai vegetable/tofu soup. No egg rolls. We'll see.

And wouldn't you know it...

Im already hungry. So to combat my need for actual snacking, I have invented.."Mental Snacking". My midnight mental snack is the lovely dress that you see to the left. I vow Not to live with Ham hock arms any longer. So I can actually wear dresses like this.
